Yeah I'm always yapping about it! Smut is good, sure, but when there is an actual potentially interesting plot and the story is wasted on 90% sex then the smut just becomes boring. There needs to be some kind of balance: I think most readers are interested in the plot IF there is one, there are plenty of sex-only stories to choose from for those looking specifically for sex scenes (and those aren't the ones I'm referring to) so if you're gonna add an actual story at least properly develop it TT. At some point I just end up skimming through to get to the actual plot and if it takes too much I can even lose interest in the story as a whole. There are exceptions of course, stories with (imo) very good smut that isn't just sex and maybe there are also feelings involved exist, but most of the times it gets REALLY repetitive
Read Between the stars, Spinach Bouquet, Our Sunny Days and Unrequited Love Rendezvous. They're all really good, the first 2 don't hv any smut for the main story then have it for sides and the second 2 have it but at appropriate times and w slow development. I noticed p much the same thing as u so try to find rare gems like this also Eighteens Bed doesn't hv any smut either but it's on the darker side. Any stories w high schoolers will not have any smut (at least until they're in uni or sides) so maybe lean more towards tht? Dw they're not nasty or gross mostly p good!
Ik right there are rarely any bl’s nowadays that don’t have sex in them, but! If you want some that either mention they had sex or just kissing and stuff here are some! (I’m pretty sure there isn’t any sex scenes in any of these, I read these a long time ago and my memory is horrible)

Am i the only one who is starting to get bored and annoyed with the constant amount of fucking in every chapter of a BL?? Like I swear the couples will be fucking every 3 chapters and then the fucking be lasting up to 3-5 more chapters. Like damn okay I get it Like yeah I can just click off but like sometimes they have great plot and potential but I swear it just gets drowned out by all the smut
