And yeah I agree, Eklis didn't have to ruin Penelope in order to elope with her. Penelope doesn't want that, yet Eklis went and did it anyway, disrespecting her wish. Idk why people are feeling sorry for Eklis, this guy's not dumb, he knew what he was doing the entire time.
You do realize that Penelope wasn’t forcing Eklis to stay, she told him in one of the chapters that if he didn’t want to stay as her knight then he can leave, but Eklis chose to stay and do all those things, he didn’t have to backstab his people or bring Yvonne back, but he chose to do it, so if you think I feel bad for him then no I don’t.
I feel more bad for Penelope, she just wants to go home but instead has to keep staying there against her will, sure she can be manipulative but that’s only because she’s doing it to get home.
