Tbh I think this outcome makes sense and is gonna be a huge turning point cause let’s be for real, nagi was always an op character from the beginning due to his god-given talent. Though the problem was up till the MC vs BM match his only ego driven goal like ego said was to defeat Isagi and he only did it with that special once in a lifetime goal that was achieved with a 2v1 and he was SATISFIED with only that. His satisfaction killed his desire for anything else cause he didn’t think about his goal/desire after defeating isagi. Ego was only stating facts when he said that teaming was just something that withered his talent and that Nagi still should’ve prevailed on his own to regain that fire he lost in the BM vs MC after defeating Isagi but he didn’t cause again his desire was released and he was content with that ending.
More importantly the place that they have all been fighting and surviving is BLUE LOCK, where only ego and ur own results matter it’s literally just a place made for making the world’s best striker not making the world’s best duo, i think ppl forgot that its inevitable to fall behind if u don’t adapt to the environment and its demands just like what happened to Kira Ryousuke in the beginning of Bluelock.Reo and Nagi are a danger to each other in terms of both blocking the others potential. In the Barcha and MC match reo was able to score on his own cause he wanted to and didn’t have the desire or the thought to pass it to nagi so he could shine, reo was able to see and become aware of his potential in that match cause he fought on his own, while nagi was too late in discovering his potential.
This is obviously not the last time we will see nagi, man has his own damn series he will definitely be back but not as a payer from blue lock but on another whole team entirely whether it will be another country or not is still unknown but most like like i say thats the case and this time part will actually help both nagi and reo to evolve and become independent players and shape them as strikers that can play to their full potential without the weight of each other pushing them down. They will become stronger and i think that’s what matters the most and why i think this is for the best.
