SPOLIERS:
it is mentioned multiple times that the the mc is under the impression that this guy is not only heterosexual, but is in a relationship (red flag1) and it’s revealed has been aware of mc’s feelings (which started their freshman year it think.) He’s only reached out to mc now because he thinks mc is getting over his feelings for him. (red flag 2). Even if he couldn’t be open abt his feelings bc he was worried abt the backlash of being a gay couple on campus, it would be selfish and manipulative to further interfere in the MC/ML relationship. Even more-so selfish to enter a homosexual relationship if you’re going to be ashamed of/hide your partner (ASSUMING he’s scared to come out). Even when giving this guy the benefit of the doubt, its incredibly hard to sympathize with his character thus far. I’m not saying he’s a filthy baby killer but i wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole.
however i really do hope he doesn’t turn out to rlly be some baby killer asshole and has some redeeming qualities bc mc is stressed enough as it isss
I 1000% agree that in reality he'd be a walking red flag, but so are 2/3 of these MLs lmao. Compared to some, he's a saint, and I'm sure out there is a manhwa with a comparable set of circumstances that romanticizes the whole thing (once again, unhealthy as hell irl)
Look. LOOK. If this guy were slapped into another manhwa, if he were the ML in an alternate universe where ahjussi is not there and MC was being 'trained' by some uncaring dickhead, we'd be cheering him on. It'd be the chasing arc where he didn't appreciate MC until he'd tried to move on and he realized how much he loved MC.
But it's not another manhwa and I still want ahjussi over him every second. I just don't hate him... until he gives me a reason e_e
