The second story is good but the "is he dating someone else now?!" trope doesn't work in it's favour; aside from the fact Asaka followed them and got sadder, it doesn't add anything. Usually it's the thing that pushes the character forward/gives them the resolution to talk to the person they like, but in this case what gave Asaka that resolution/courage was him reminiscing about the love letter that Ookami sent him. Asaka also doesn't even mention in his confession that he thought Ookami had a date now, he only brings it up post-confession. It’s like a gun by anyone other than Chekhov.
Idk, I just thought things could be wrapped up better than that.

But that's just a minor nitpick. Other than that, I thought both stories were super nice the cuteness ranks it up to a 8/10

I kinda disagree with you here.

The is-he-in-love-with-someone-else trope increases the stakes by a lot for asaka. There are a couple panels (after asaka realizes that it must've taken a lot of guts for ookami to confess to him) where we learn that asaka's developed the habit of protecting his feelings preemptively. Hiz resolve to push himself outside his comfort zone wouldn't have had the same effect if there wasn't a situation where ookami could have actually moved onto someone else.

And while asaka doesn't tell ookami he's worried that ookami's moved on, we have access to asaka's thoughts and the reason he freezes up and then blurts his confessiom out is bc he's scared that he won't be able to confess if ookami tells him he's moved on.
