It's not even about the community. I've been in the community for 8 years now and in my opinion it was worse back then because people would literally read anything and say it's good even if it had morally questionable content.
HOWEVER I totally understand where you're coming from. It's not a matter of community but popular culture. People attack Jinx while simultaneously reading other stuff I won't name or attack, of the same nature. The hypocrisy comes from their inability to critically think that you can just choose NOT to engage and mind your own business. Simply, it's also like that because Jinx is extremely popular and mainstream media. It's a sort of promotion.
I suggest you don't get too bothered by it. Those who are just like you aren't too far away. I can't say all Jinx enjoyers are all good people but I can say that to each their own opinion and you can simply disengage from those who can't think for themselves.
