They did it as a precaution since there's an asshole on twitter reporting a bunch on mangas and manhwa to the artists.

Well you realize that we are actually assholes for reading it without paying for artists hard work. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I'm not innocent either of course, I just recently began to actualy buy them and only ones I really like

Do you have any idea if they're going to reinstate their webpage down the road? Do they have another social outlet that they post on?

That person has obviously read mangas illegally on this site before. He/she is not reporting the series they are reading obviously but other random ones. It's useless to contact the authors(via twitter at that) since the authors themeselves can't really do anything, it just causes them stress. If the person really cared about taking down illegal translators they would contact the publishers privately(they actually have legal teams for this) rather than tweeting the authors. They just want attention from the artists.

Also it's pretty pointless. It sucks for the artists(in any medium) but it's pretty much impossible to take down illegal hosting sites like these. Japanese companies have tried to take down illegal translations for years but haven't been successful. One site might be taken down but then other follows to take their place.

Don't worry, I've contact the leader of the group and she said they are still active. They will continue to upload their scanlations on manga sites they just won't be publishing them on their blog like before(for the moment, as a precaution). We will still get releases from them.

The reason I called them asshole is because you can tell that person actually read and continues to read mangas illegally on this site. Yet they are acting like they are all for supporting artists. It's pretty fruitless to tweet the artists themselves, it's more effective to contact the publishers instead(there's an obvious reason why he/she doesn't do that). This person is obviously doing it to gain attention from the artists, so far it has only worked with Korean artists. Which again is pointless since their works keep being illegally shared even after they've ranted about it and even Lezhin is aware, it's just really hard to do so(its expensive to do so too).
The only that person is accomplishing is stressing out these artists and just causing a bunch of unnecessary drama.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I was hoping that they'd bring back their website so that we could continue to download chapters from their site, too. I hope they eventually bring back their site, it's a shame that this little jerk managed to scare off some scanlation groups.
