iirc, basically soon after this arc, the older brother of ethan and lucas will kill lucas in the middle of the night and paula will accidentally come across him as he’s dying and lucas tells her to run. she does and when the morning comes, i think the head maid dismissed her and brought her to the forest, saying that paula’s not needed but it’s actually a cover up to just kill her bc of the butler (or something my memory’s hazy) but the head maid lets her go since she feels empathy towards paula. it’s also important to note that vincent was out of the house dealing with something or busy since he had no idea she was leaving. paula encounters ethan on the way to the nearest town, who acts super sus and offers to drop her there using his car, but is still chill. anyways theres a time skip once paula leaves. im assuming that’s where they’re gonna end the first season ╥﹏╥

I guess the author did not know what to do with him... he was such a great deal but also a thorn on their hand... What a dilemma.
