My hypothesis is his dragon pearl ! in eastern mythology, dragons usually have a very important pearl ( think of it as a sacred item boosting their powers ) and there’s some legends about dragon gifting it to their mate to make sure they are protected against all evil ( attacks , sickness, etc .. )
OR maybe it’s just his magical / mana core

It's part of his core(half). It allows Eyra to pretty much live a longer life or become immortal to match Yanu. This is him beginning the process of making him his mate/settling down.
