Yay, I am not alone. Bum is my least favourite in this series. His background is hideous and traumatic, but he lack of will. Everyone is being sympathetic towards Bum when he should know that he could run away when there is chances and he shouldn't have stalked Sangwoo or blame Sangwoo because of his obsession.
You guys are judgementare, ignorant and obviously don't know much about domestic violrnce and how that affects a perdon.

It's much more hard to escape and fight for your well-being when your own family is sick, broken, when your own family doesn't love you and is abusive, when you don't have any friend to talk to or to help you, when people bully you in school or think you're crazy, when the police believe you're a problematic delinquent teen, when you don't know how to love yourself, when your self esteem is none existent, when you have been told all your life that you're weak and disgusting, when you have no money, no place to go, .... In such circumstances people usually can't even think about escaping or fighting... In such circumstances victims of domestic violence suffer depression, anxiety, are terrified and it can take years for a person to develop the courage and self awareness to get up by themselves...
If Bum had at least someone, a friend, a teacher or a relative who could listen to him, if he had an example in his life or a decent human being... Maybe things would be different..
I understand that part. I could be cognitively emphatic towards Bum for suffering abusive family before he met Sangwoo. However, his obsession towards Sangwoo shouldn't justify that we couldn't blame Bum for dragging his own ass into this mess. He would even kill himself because Sangwoo wasn't interested with him anymore? So his will to live depends on Sangwoo? I couldn't bring myself to pretend being sympathetic because of such reasoning.
Must be 13, or maybe 16? Considering you aren't reading an American comic book, you may want to learn a bit about other cultures before you get on your high horse. A Korean man going to the police with accusations of rape? Bum would be demeaned then kicked out of the station. The US is a first world country, and look at all the whiny brats who buckle under the pressure of bullying on social media!

Doesn't change the fact that Bum is a piece of human waste that is better off dead, just like how Sangwoo, the bullies, the uncle (except the rape part) said. His head is fucked up beyond saving, even before Sangwoo's doing, i mean ffs, he broke into someones home..freak. Literally you wouldn't give a single fuck if someone like him die, he wont ever contribute anything useful to the society, unless he is sitting on some hidden talent, which i doubt.
IK..he is useless, whiney, trash, ugly, awkward, weak. I used to cheer on him, when he once tried, ATLEAST TRIED to kill his kidnapper with rat poison, that proved to me that, he atleast wants to survive, his character was developing, but now? A piece of trash. Im reading this manga, hoping Bum would get blamed for everything, and Sangwoo would get to walk free. It would be an ideal ending, and surprising. (but ofc if this was real, i'd rather have the killer in jail)

I am trying to understand depression and still learning to be empathetic towards them. I know that Bum grew up with suffering and traumatic events, and we also learned that the police in Korea can be unreliable (i.e Seungbae's workplace). All of those events are very emotionally draining, hence some of they tend to seek for comfort.
If we look closely, Bum wasn't going to tell Sangwoo about his past. I think he would never tell Sangwoo if Yoon Jae wasn't being such a bitch. He was forced to spill the tea and then was treated coldly by Sangwoo instead. That shocked him. Sangwoo should be blamed for being eager to know Bum's past without going to take his responsibility. He should get the hint that Bum's very emotionally dependent towards him but his empathy poverty hinders him to understand how vulnerable of Bum to be willing to inflict a self-injury.
I respect Bum for not complaining his life. He didn't seek for sympathy and has been holding his suffering by himself. I will stop judging him for not seeking for help for that. However, I am very disappointing that he decided to be consumed by his obsession towards Sangwoo and stalked him to the point he had broken into his house.
Bum is so unlucky. He was looking for a companionship but that person turns out to be a serial killer. I could at least understand that Bum lacks of social manner and is suffering social anxiety to confront Sangwoo directly. Heck, Sangwoo might even dismiss him if it weren't because Bum knew his dark's secret.
I am trying to be sympathetic towards Bum, but his decision on certain situations disappoint me from time to time. His first decision to stalk Sangwoo disappoints me. All of these wouldn't happen if he hadn't broke into the house. He was given a chance to live a normal life but he decided to make a crime. What if Sangwoo wasn't a murderer? Bum would be accused for breaking a house.
I also think that Sangwoo is partly blamed for deciding to keep Bum alive. But killing him too early would be boring, right? Bum is just really unlucky.
When I am trying to blame Sangwoo for torturing someone who is weak and unable to resist him, I couldn't help but go back to the square one, where Bum shouldn't have broke into Sangwoo's house. I know the damage has been done, but Bum should carry the burden of the consequence for his greed and obsession towards Sangwoo.
Sangwoo is the villian but he was dragged into this mess. All of these started from Bum. Sangwoo being a villian didn't force Bum to become a victim of his. This doesn't mean that I support Sangwoo. He killed people and he should be judged for his crime.
He got raped, hit, abused, capture, tortured, forced to kill, bullied, cut his own wrist. I'll take his annoyance, while he can suffer :) Go Sangwoo bby, torture him more, a piece of waste.

At first i hoped for Bums happy ending and he will get everything he wants and Sangwoo should die. But now, Bum what an annoying character. 80% of what happened is/was his fault. I feel like one of the bully in the manga, but Bum deserve this. Because the act of doing nothing, is doing something. The obsession with Sangwoo too, he could have taken the knife the stabbed the shit out of Sangwoo right then and there. Start his life over..orwhatever. Told the police everything and he was the victim. Instead, he went backwards and cut his wrist.
