Something about this concept is so melancholic to me. I know the age part is controversial, but to me it’s reading more like: he wants his most precious person, who died tragically and unfairly, to be happy and well in every lifetime, and he’s kind of watching over him to help make that happen, while himself never aging and probably always lonely because of that. Makes my heart sad for him.
