In every guideverse series there's always an explanation at the beginning
it's like those action manhwa (think solo leveling), with portal with guild and such. I think I've seen lots of this trope nowadays appearing from everywhere lol.
anyways the esper is the one clearing the portal and fighting the monster and when they fight they get fatigued and drain and that's where the 'guide' came from. they'll give guiding which involve physical contact/ sex/ etc depends on the book.
so the esper fight while the guide heal/assist them.

Espers are hunters compact type they go to missions in dungeons and stuff
Guides are sorta like healers they heal the espers by physical touch and sex
My only problem is most of the time they make the guides are the bottom so it’s like omega and alpha like where the diversity come on people

Guideverse or in general ?
If the guideverse I don’t remember most of them cuz I drop stuff but some of the stuff that stuck there’s (Dear Zero) it’s good so far it’s only one season so I can judge it fully
( a guide thicker than blood ) this one also one season and it’s been in hiatus for a long time but I liked their dynamic I wish it will come back already :(
( The S-Class Guide as Sweet as Honey ) this one I haven’t caught up yet but I don’t think I will drop it so at least that something ( I’m very judgy )
