yeah it’s what authors do when they wanna fetishize rape, treating rape or abuse as the main recurring theme and then downplaying it’s seriousness impact on the person being subjected to harsh treatment. this isn’t worth your time if morals get in the way because this is for people who like rape
I genuinely thought this wouldn’t be romanticized because of the spoiler saying this story would depict gang rape which ended in suicide but im starting to have the same impression as you. Why tf is MC not reacting this shit is so ass ??
when i read it the first time i didn’t have this opinion but the uke being unfazed by such traumatic experiences gives away to me that his character was written in a way for people to romanticize, I know people react differently to trauma but making rape the whole theme of the story and then having the character act like it’s not a big deal or even the people around that person acting like it’s not a big deal gives away to me that it’s just fetishizing rape and abuse. i promise you this story isn’t really worth reading even if you are into that type of thing it’s just not worth the time
Honestly as a victim of SA this was just sickening to see, I don’t mind terms of SA when it’s written good and psychological but seeing how often it’s brought up by the ML in disgusting ways and the MC’s lack of reaction it just made me feel sick
