I love that her mistakes here are very natural. When you’re stressed and cornered it’s easy to slip up, no amount of skill or knowledge is gonna save you and if you try to correct it you’ll sound jumbled and obviously lying unless you’re a seasoned manipulator, which she is not. He is also pretty sharp to come to the conclusion that she’s died once already, since he’s always been kind of suspicious of her gift. It’s ok, cause things will work out for her and Kael
