I'm actually thinking that he had already killed himself and that ghost was him too because if you look, they're literally twins. So I'm thinking it's one of those (stuck in the past things/ghost hallucination) Because that was him asking that new guy if he wanted to die so I'm thinking that he must haunt that forest or something.
