after some rereads cus i NEED to know whether this man will turn out to be a green flag or not, I am starting to understand some more things. The prologue gives us rly crucial context about this world and how when the zombies (which are not a harm) people were thinking about achieving immortality and this was when the world fell into turmoil as if they were being punished for doing this (similar to the story of sisyphus who is punished for cheating death). Also they show guwon coming out of the rumble during this chapter and he just walks to where his house is, which rly gives me the vibes that he was created by someone to protect or something along those lines as he mentions in a later chapter that he feels so compelled to protect this place and it is one of the only things he can recall. I wouldn't call him a "zombie" but he def has to be some sort of Frankenstein. This would also explain how he acts so innocent and like he's learning new things (PRAYING ITS NOT ALL A RUSE). Also in another chapter, he talks about walking up the hill and watching a big stone on another hill cus he is worried he might roll into the town one day and destroy stuff and I def see some correlations to the sisyphus story here. Perhaps this symbolizes his purpose? as sisyphus rolls the boulder up the hill for it to only roll back down before it reaches the top. So maybe inevitability of his fate or others?
