Somebody else made a good point that, although still just used as a plot device, it was to show his lack of interest in anyone. But also this character was shitty period so why would people be happy with her? But also love so pure has pretty nice trans representation though it’s not the mcs
i think my issue is, in the two comics i’ve read w trans representation, the trans women are written as villains/perverts that get beat up and are a plot device to confirm the mc/ml doesn’t like *men*
it might not be the case for every comic and maybe i’ll read love so pure— but rn we batting w 100% negative stereotypes and it’s frustrating as a trans reader when this is the only way i see we’re being written
Asia has a long way to go still in accepting trans people and portraying them in a positive manner. Love So Pure is definitely a good one that portrays them well!
