I'm at ch89 where yuna's oppa js arrived at Korea, and I ain't like it whenever she clings to ijin.

Can you please tell me if their relationship leaned that way in the further chapters???
Please, this is a good manhwa and I don't want to drop such an amazing action type story such as this one because of an unnecessary romanticism of the characters.

Honestly, this is also the reason why I dropped solo leveling.

No hate to the characters and shippers!!!
It's just a personal thing.

Thank you (人 •ᴗ•) ✿

I read up to chapter 239 and there's no romance. She's more like a friend/classmate. Although she definitely like Ijin.

She has a huge crush on Ijin for sure, but I honestly don't find her annoying. It's not like she's molesting him, forcing him to go out with her against his will or anything, she's just in love. And it's not an important part of the plot anyway, I don't think you should drop it just because of that

Be fr. When I compared her to gum, I meant that she inserts herself into Ijin’s space every chance she gets and just sticks there. Which is true. She literally follows him to his workplace without being invited or having any actual reason to be there. That’s a full-on boundary violation. It doesn’t matter if she has a crush on him or if she’s the boss’s granddaughter, his job isn’t her personal hangout spot. Work is supposed to be a professional space, not somewhere you just show up because you feel like it.

Even if she’s not trying to be harmful, the way she acts still feels possessive and entitled. She moves like her feelings or her status give her special access to him, and that’s just not okay. It’s not romantic, it’s not sweet, it’s invasive. She doesn’t respect his space, and that’s the real issue.

You just sound like you’re trolling or giving a false representation of her relationship with Ijin so those who dislike romance don’t even bother with the story. Everyone else’s reply under this thread has an accurate depiction of her relationship with Ijin. Yours isn’t accurate at all; it’s almost like you’re confusing two different stories. They’re friends, bonded by the relationship he used to have with her father. He sometimes is her bodyguard, but her main bodyguard is their black haired friend. She has a crush on him and isn’t overbearing with her feelings. So much so, it’s sometimes easy to forget she has those feelings as she barely acts on them, if at all. That’s all I’ll say on that subject.

I’m not trolling, just calling out behavior that’s consistently overlooked. I get that they have a connection through her dad and that she’s technically not his main responsibility, but that doesn’t mean her actions always come across as respectful. Whether intentional or not, she crosses boundaries more than once, and following someone to their workplace uninvited is a prime example. That’s not just being “friendly” that’s intrusive.

Saying she’s subtle with her feelings doesn’t erase how she shows up in spaces he clearly doesn’t invite her into. And just because she doesn’t act as intense as some other characters doesn’t mean the dynamic is automatically healthy or balanced. I’m not here to sway people away from the story, just giving my perspective like everyone else. You don’t have to agree, but calling it inaccurate just because it doesn’t align with your view isn’t fair either.

Thank you for the replies everyone!!

I'm currently in ch216, and I'm planning to continue reading this manhwua due to my curiosity.

Even tho Yuna still irks me everytime she clings and deny her feelings to ijin
(Which is rational, if you as me) I'll just do my best to ignore that part.

I'm actually a fan of the romance genre, but it just did not fit in for this story in my opinion.

Again no hate to the characters!!
    It's just my personal preference.

I think part of the reason why the romance is introduced is because it’s part of what it’s like for a teenager to have a normal life. While a former mercenary who often goes on mission, Ijin is ultimately trying to live a normal life as a teenager/high schooler. I personally like that she’s not shoving her feelings for him in his face and even when she goes to her family company and sees him, she doesn’t necessarily stick around so he has no other choice but to hang out with her, etc. she’s just behaving like a regular friend with a crush who’s a little too cautious with her own feelings.
