I’m so tired of these tropes. First the ML is wrong because if you like her say that SH*t dang. Stop acting like an asshole, she isn’t somebody in your business world who you should treat coldly and think she should take it. You are a CEO but for some reason when it comes to your wife you can’t just open your mouth and have a decent conversation with her. And the fault I have with the FL, I could get running away but at least tell the man I’m leaving because I don’t love you, I don’t like the way I am treated by your family anything instead of running away to a whole another country. Second why are you letting somebody who isn’t in your relationship dictate what you should and shouldn’t do. Girl you should of curse that old man out the moment he came to your home talking about you brought something useless here, baby I would of told him if he dares comes to my house again I will tell his grandson what he really did. And stop letting him just have his way with you, say what you need to say, stop being a pushover and put you foot down.

Totally get the fatigue over these tropes, but I think we need to also accept that these tropes do unfortunately exist for a reason

The ML is basically emotionally constipated after losing his mother so young and being raised by such a toxic and abusive father.

The FL never felt worthy of marrying the ML and never felt sure about the ML's feelings for her... With what strength or influence does she have to stand up to her father in law or the wider
    family?
