Ok what the actual fuc....I was way off. I’m not about to defend Guwon and the toxic cesspool he created, but I honestly didn’t expect to find the townspeople’s behavior kind of... understandable?
That said, just cuz I get why they acted the way they did doesn’t mean it's excusable. They weren’t doing what was right. They were just trying not to piss off their so-called protector. The whole town ran on fear, wrapped in a sad little illusion of safety. It’s not real peace, just survival with a smile slapped on.
Also I’m not convinced the doctor loved his family as much as he claimed. Like, if I watched the guy who’s supposedly protecting us crush my entire family to death and I just... carried on? No way. Personally, I’d be out. Permanently. But that’s just me. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
