I think its because the chaps are messed up here. Ive been following this manga for a long time and own all the volumes in jp.I can say that I am fully invested in Haru and Aoki's relationship. Their relationship is wholesome. They have the purest relationship in this work. I like how gentle Aoki's love towards Haru is. They also have similar beliefs and generally get along well together. Aoki being growing overprotected towards Haru is just chefs kiss.
They are so cute together their chemistry is superb. As much as I feel bad for Nachi, they way AkiHaru has grown to live and care for each other would be hard to defeat. There is some politics here and there too. I think with how things ate going right now its sowly unravelling.

Aoki really really loves Haru and has already confessed to him. And it may be mutual!!! I dont think Haru has said he loves him too tho but they've kissed already. Haru doesnt mind kissing Aoki or being touchy feely towards him and I really really find it endearing.
I agree with you, a lot of plot holes and the ml only learns things by eavesdropping... basically the same narrative process

I honestly don't get why most comments are so positive about this work. Can someone explain what makes this manga good?
I tried liking it but it's just so over the place and the most random things suddenly happen. The characters feel flat and it feels so weirdly paced. Maybe it's the translation? I do like the little info panels at the end though. And the mc is cute :)
