The manga getting extended with extra stuff and now the anime being bullshit. Where did everything go wrong
I feel you most of the isekai animes are bullshit because they deviated from the manga like I understand that the manga isn't finished so you have to make another story to end it but bro make one that is good and doesn't feel rushed the anime productions have butchered so many good isekai stories like this like I literally had to read the manga because the anime was PISSING me off !

I dislike this soap opera plot twist because it reinforces the trope that your real parents would never abuse you.

I also dislike plot twists like that, but I feel like here, instead of trying to reinforce that trope, it was more focused on the relationship between the two sisters, showing that even if they weren’t biologically sisters, their love for each other and desire to help and support each other was what made them family, not their blood. Idk, that’s just my opinion though, I’m not a writer nor a psychologist, so take everything I say with a grain of salt lol
Literally, like this is exactly how I feel. They’re butchering artists’ good work for what feels like some rushed, cheap, cashgrabs of animes. Idk, but as an artist myself, I would be outraged if someone took my hard work and essentially threw it in the corporate grinder for money like that, or at least that’s what it feels like to me

It's very nice to see non-biological sisters loving each other. Moreover, they are still close cousins.
I find it very refreshing that Mia is not the jealous White Lotus Type that wants to destroy the Heroine like in any other Rofan Stories.
She is truly a badass who punishes her own wicked biological parents and Philia's royal ex-fiancé.
But I still feel annoyed by this common wishful message that only a fake family / imposter parents would harm an innocent child.
Okay, I know this doesn’t really apply here and isn’t very relevant, but I NEED somewhere to talk about it. The anime is driving me insane! They keep adding stuff that wasn’t there before and doesn’t make any sense, adding unnecessary plot points and conflict that doesn’t need to be there where they can instead be spending those extra moments to properly show the story that’s in the manga.
Like the scene where Mia finds out her and Phillia aren’t biologically sisters, it was so beautiful and sad and made me tear up like crazy in the manga, and I teared up a little bit in the anime, but it was overshadowed by the fact that it was shoved into a single episode with another really important chapter. I feel like if they got rid of all the extra stuff they’re adding in the anime that doesn’t make ANY SENSE, and instead spent the remaining couple episodes fully showing the absolutely beautiful and emotional scenes instead of chopping them down and shortening them, this anime would be perfect.
The only thing I think they captured really well was Mia, I feel like I relate to her the most out of all the characters, and I really like the way they portrayed her. I could really feel her emotion in the way they animated her, and her voice actor, someone get that actor a raise, because I could fear her rage and despair in the way she spoke, she is so, SO talented. I wish, I so wish, they hadn’t rushed things so I could see more of Mia, her rage, self hatred, revenge, using her work as a way to self harm and punish herself is so real, and I feel her so much. I want to see more of her animated and brought to life, but unfortunately some of her parts had to be reduced due to them adding these new plot lines.
And another thing, the romance between Oswald and Phillia is really subtle and sweet in the manga, it’s like he understands that romance isn’t her main priority and slowly builds a relationship with her based on trust and mutual respect that can grow into something more, rather than focusing on the romance and attraction between the two, but in the anime it’s like their rushing to get them together instead of him helping Phillia heal, and grow, and sort out her feeling towards her family, kingdom, and saintly duties before she’s ready for a romantic relationship, it’s really frustrating to see what could be a beautiful romance that blooms from a beautiful friendship get butchered and rushed.
I’m just so frustrated and stressed with the way the anime is going, and I know that it is literally not that deep, it’s so not a big deal, but this manga has such a special place in my heart, and I relate to Phillia and Mia so much. I’m being such a baby about this, but I genuinely feel that the beautiful story I related to, saw myself in, and got emotional over is getting reduced down to nothing more than a hollow, empty shell of itself, and it’s frustrating.
