It's like that with any job. Networking is an incredibly important skill in the world, not just acting.
this is exactly what's wrong with the acting industry, unless someone takes you under their wing or you use your own connections you won't get anywhere and this just propagates it :'( as a fictional story/hawt yaoi though its gr8888
