I don’t think so. It’s probably just translated Korean terms, like noona.
Just about every Asian culture has their own terms that are used for both siblings and people close to them. Like viets can use Anh for older brother or for their bfs/friends. Same with Koreans and the word oppa.
It’s just that it directly translates to brother in English, or in this case, sister
