Everything you see right now is before the story we’ve been reading. The FL lead has lost all her memories of everyone involved with her when she came to the world the first time. The man with the white hair made sure of that.(as part of the deal) Her and the ML were destined to be together for the empire but she didn’t want him because he was a CHILD. So they decided to send her back with no memories which is fucked up but hey the empire isn’t like our world. She comes back and the emperor is still a snot nosed brat married to someone who he doesn’t even give the time of day. Could be the reason why they want him dead because he isn’t technically married to the FL. How do you tell the people that the marriage happened and the FL took over the previous empress body? It’s another sacrifice! They are catching on that the FL is now the empress though. I hope this helped I tried my best to explain.
