After this im pretty sure MC's backstory gets fully revealed. Mc awakened as a guide at I think age 14 (?). He was apart of a guild, and was the guild leader's guide, but the guild leader died (Don't remember why, I think its cause guild leader got rlly injured, and mc didnt want to give intimate guiding..), the younger brother of the guild leader used that against the MC, and made mc form a 'bond' with him, right over the heart, and he was basically abusive, didnt let him go outside of the house, barely fed him, and kept guilt tripping mc saying that "you killed my brother, you should repay me by being my guide".

More spoilers? This is the frustrating part:
After Andante finds mc at the old man's house, being ignorant as he is (clearly), makes the mc become scared (ptsd). Like, to the point the crystal Andante gave Mc actually created a shield in front of him, which should've ONLY activated when he GENUINLY felt a THREAT to his life, and Andante recognizing that, backed off. However, as ironic as it is, a gate opens right above them (cause of some stone hidden in the old man's house I think), and its a MUTATED (poison type) gate, so multiple black hands just extend from the gate and kept trying to drag MC In, and Andante kept trying to protect MC while also being concious about how close he was to mc (to not scare him more ig)

Shit I didnt mean to press enter, lemme continue:

At some point, the old man inside woke up, and MC was worried about the old man, so he ran inside as the gate's hands started destroying the house. The old man was devastated about his 'life's hard work' being destroyed in front of him, and mc kept staying behind to prevent thr old man from going back inside the house, so Andante takes it upon himself to say 'If I clear this gate, will you atleast give me then chance to talk to you? Just a conversation is all I ask.', and mc agrees, so Andante speed runs the gate, but MC escapes through a teleportation gate ticket (he had a spare from the last time he used it, which was when he left his old guild. However... when Andante questioned the old man where tf he sent, the old man said he went into the gate (the ticket ig made it look like he went into a gate), but Andante being Andante, misunderstood, and thought Mc went into the poison mutated gate, and rushed back in. Apparently a none esper cannot survive in an A-Rank poison gate for more than 8 minutes. So... Everyone in the Onaip believed mc was dead when they heard the news. Andante firmly believed thst he was still alive, and maybe went through another gate inside the gate, similar tk how they escaped the SS-Rank gates in the past. He just kept clearing gates after that, without a break, and not discriminating between gate ranks, to find MC. Onaip ranked first, and the association (with that black haired fucker with the nice purple haired guide) ranked second.

Meanwhile, MC teleported i think to Mexico? Near Argentina? Man idfk, but a little girl named Tina saved MC when he was unconcious in the forest, and brought him back home. Tina is like, 14 years old? She wants to marry MC... and apparently their entire family is learning Korean, so MC gets asked to teach Teddy, Tina's older brother, Korean. Mc agrees, and finds out Teddy is actually set to awaken as an esper (he awakens as a rare defense type), since he said it was a 90% chance (due to genetics). Mc got a bit nervous about that, and of course, as soon as Teddy saw MC after awakening, he recognized that mc was a guide, but he was chill about it. Teddy wanted to go to korea.. sincd that's where the upper ranked guilds were, and wants to join the association.

Meanwhile.. Around 6 months, or more later, Andante was a mess. Utterly a wreck. He did a thorough background check on mc again, and somewhat found out about his past, and felt regretful. He was on the edge of going berserk. Literally. Another S rank gate opens up, and its related to the mutated gate from before. Andante went into the gate.. and just about went berserk (not fully), only cause the black haired bitch did some sabotage shit that caused him to go berserk. He was chained down by other members of Onaip, and brought to a facility. No other guides could guide him.. and there were rumors he was going to be killed.

(Some more informatuon on MC's backstory): Someone named REN gets involved since the guy (Dietrich) that was abusing mc was too busy with gates to actually properly feed mc, so he asks ren, from the guild, to feed MC and specifically says not to talk to MC (possessive mf). But ren talks to mc, and gets close to him. He eventually finds out about MC's current state and Dietrich's abuse. However, there was nothing he could do about it either, cause a bonding mark over the heart is something that cannot be removed unless one of the two dies, and neither could live without eachother, especially Dietrich, the esper. However, after some more time, Ren comes back, worried about mc, and fights with Dietrich, and both end up dying. Ren instructed mc specifically, no matter what happens.. to not guide Dietrich, if he truly wants to escape from his current life style, so despite REN dying, and Dietrich ordering him to guide him, half dead, MC doesnt do it. Dietrich goes berserk, and yea.

Some more spoilers. Teddy does indeed go to Korea to apply for the association. Theres apparently a law there that says anyone below 20 cannot offially join a guild, Teddy is 19, but an acception was made due to the current crisis (multiple high ranking mutated gates popping up of the same type, y'know, with the hands), and was allowed to join the association for a year (i think) under contract. Anyways, this happened before Andante went 'berserk' (like right on the edge, like RIGHT there, to the point he wasnt coherently thinking), and the association leader found out about MC being alive (coz everyone thought he died). So right after Andante was brought to that facility, he went to the mc, whom was just about to return yo Korea to guide Andante (cause he felt guilty, he didnt want another esper related to him to die, ptsd shit, no matter how scared he was). Bro I just gotta say, i fucking hate black haired association bitch. First of all, hes competitive as fuck, to the point he purposely caused Andante's almost going berserk. Second, he brings mc into the guild, saying "I'll help you guide Andante. Ill make it to where he wont know your the one who guided him", so mc accepts, and joins the associations guild (or whatever) for a year contract. Andante was successfully guided, fully, and of course he was gonna be fucking suspicious when he woke up lol.

Anyways, He finds out MC is alive, and when there was a guild meeting, something onaip members never really attend, mc was there with black haired guy, and apparently the light purple haired person was dropped the second mc joined the guild. Mc felt guilty for taking his place, since they sorta became somewhat friends before he ran away. Black haired person manipulates mc a lot btw, like saying they gotta act all intimate publicly or whatever, In order to solidify his position. Anyways, Andante bursts into the meeting with some onaip guild members, and approaches mc (ima just leave it at that ig, i know more but I've written enough spoilers for one night. If u want more, just lmk.)

Im being so fr rn, but this chasing arch gets so dragged out its crazy. Like its atleast 20-40 chapters In the novel long. It really made me wanna throw my phone- Anyways, onto more spoilers from where I left off, which was.. When andante reunites with MC the SECOND time. Ima also just start calling mc JIN since that's his name.

(Also whenever I said association, I meant national security bureau, MB)

ANYWAYS, onto spoilers. I wanted to add something, cause Idk if I made it clear or not from earlier spoilers, but Andante was fucking depressed during the entire time he was searching for Jin. I cant blame Jin either for hiding. Mostly cause, when confronted by the purple haired person, just before he went into a gate, he even openly said "I should've just taken Jin, no matter what. Even if I had to chain him by my side, or make him hate me." (This was probably cause he starting to think he was dead).

Now, onto more spoilers: After Adante stormed into the building meeting, and approached Jin, his normal composure was just gone. Shin, the black haired bitch, was obviously happy about that, and completely ignored andante's presence. Andante demanded answers from Jin, about where hes been, what hes been up to, and why hes standing next to Shin right now. Jin, whom was calm (externally, or atleast trying to), said that he left his resignation letter, and that he didnt want to be near Andante anymore, and that they are strangers now. Of course, Andante was still pretty mad when Shin said something like, "Jin is my guide, and bondage partner". Like he was pretty pissed. He got all possessive and jelous and was all like, "Who gave you permission?", "Why would I ever let you go? Your mine, I wont allow it.", etc. ALSO 'obsession' is also JIN's trauma, due to Dietrich. Espers can become obsessed with their guide, y'know, that kinda thing, so that's also one misunderstanding Jin has. He doesnt believe Andante like, truly loves him, and only sees him as being obsessive.

So Shin and Andante get into a literal fight- Andante beat the shit out of Shin.. and Jin tried stopping Andante. More so, he begged him to stop (and said to hit him instead), cause it was literally just a reenactment of Ren fighting with Dietrich and losing his life to protect Jin, whom he had only known for a month or two at the time (Dietrich also died, remember). Shin was trying to protect Jin, as promised in their contract, and actually had a plan. Of course, considering Jin is literally the only guide that can guide Andante, an SS rank, he wouldnt have a say, right? Especially since people are afraid of Andante going berserk. However, Shin plans to make Jin go through a retest or whatever, and raise his rank to SS, so their ranks are the same. So andante wouldnt force him by his side (of course thats ASSUMING that's what he was actually gonne do).

However.. Jin suddenly coughs up blood, and collapses in the middle of the guild meeting (or whatever it is), in front of everyone, as he begged Andante to stop beating Shin. It was cause he over did it in guiding Andante before, when andante was chained up after almost going berserk. So Andante was veryyyy guilty. He backed off after that, and Shin brought Jin to a doctor. The doctor said that Jin's guiding power is unstable, and he could go down in rank, to rank A. So shines plan is thrown out the window, but of course, shin has to be a dick and tell Jin that Andante left Jin alone only cause his rank was lowered.. making it seem like hes useless, now that his rank was lower. Shin was even contemplating himself to rid of Jin since his rank was lowered, but he decided not to for some reason, to use him more against Andante. Jin believed him (his rank didnt actually go down, smth else happened).

Also to answer your question, yea, they talk it out.. but way later... like literally towards the end of the entire series. After like, maybe 10 chapters is the end of the novel, and then theres extras after.

Okay so, leaving off where I was at last time.. as it turns out, Jin's rank probably wouldve gone down if it hadn't been for Andante. Jin was taking a lot of sedatives, and medicine throughout the time after he was diagnosed with unstable guiding power (Idk what to call it). But tbh Its so similar to him just going into heat or whatever like im being so fr. The novel says that his neck heats up or whatever, and he starts feeling feverish I think depending on his emotions, or if Andante is nearby (cause the both gave off pheromones bro, this is just my THEORY THO). ANYWAYS, Andante had been keeping his distance since he didnt want to harm Jin any further than he already has, but of course if you remember from earlier spoilers, Shin took advantage of that and told Jin that Andante finally left him alone cause his rank dropped, making it seem like hes useless now (clearly not the case). However, despite Andante keeping his distance, he would always go to every single guild meeting and just STARE at Jin. Literally, Jin had to try not to look in his direction each time. Obviously rumors spread around, since Onaip has been attending guild meetings despite not doing so In the past (reason is obvious, lol).

Oh, Teddy became Jins personal guard as well. Jin also lives with Tina and her family in Korea now, too, since he came back to guide Andante earlier on when he was gonna go berserk, and yes, young Tina still wants to marry Jin...

(Continuing from the first paragraph) Theres this meeting where Andante was there, staring at Jin of course from a distance, and Jin was standing with a few other guides from other guilds. Those guides were talking about how Jin must be a strong guide, to have the only SS rank following him around like a lost puppy. Then Ano gets brought up, and Jin sorta asks for more information since they seemed to know some things. This is where a misunderstanding clears up. They tell Jin Ano is Andante's brother, which shocks Jin since obviously he originally thought that Ano was Andante's lover, right? So then what was the point in him leaving? (His thoughts exactly, pretty sure). Due to Jin's emotions, his honey scent gets strong, and Andante recognized it, since he was off in the distance. Andante recognized what was going on only cause of the strong honey scent that Jin was emitting (It was his after effect's, y'know). So he literally snatched Jin away from Shin and the meeting, thankfully Shin couldnt do shit about it since At the time, Jin's rank was thought to be A, so an SS rank taking an A rank kinda cannot be prevented lol. Andante just didnt want Shin to 'help' Jin with his after effects, y'know, like that's this one thing he cant bare to know about.

ANYWAYS, Andante helps Jin, however, there is no intercourse (Jin was fr begging for it, talk about HEAT if u ask me lmao). Andante holds himself back, like he REALLY does, to the point he has to hold back the reverse guiding as well. It was hard for him too. I think the scent Andante gave off helped Jin a lot, though, despite there not being any intercourse. Of course, some of the Onaip members have actually been encouraging Andante in the past, like Czerny (I think) to just take Jin against his will or whatever since hes SS rank, nobody can stop him, but Andante just leaves it at that, and keeps his distance. He even returns Jin to the Security Bureau, where Shin is, after Jin wakes up.

On the car ride back to the Bureau, some more misunderstandings start being cleared. Like, the Rank amplifier, for example. I forgot who was driving the car, but it was one of Onaip members, not Andante. He kinda kept his distance that morning. The one who said it was also Ano's boyfriend, so.. anyways. They told Jin that the reason Andante brought in a new guide was cause of 1, the rank amplifier test, 2, cause Andante didnt want to share Jin anymore with the other members of Onaip, and 3 cause if Jin was gonna continue guiding Andante at the time, he would need to be in tip top shape right? So there's no strain put on him from guiding multiple S ranks, and then an SS rank. Jin also kinda cleared a misunderstanding of his own with that information, y'know, the one where Andante did intimate guiding with the new guide. Andante never did that, obviously, it was just contact guiding (holding hands). The onaip member also shares informatjon about Ano as well, since Jin found out Ano is Andante's brother. A little of Andante's past gets revealed as well. Ano is indeed his brother, and Andante.. had some part in ending Ano's life. Weird, right? Since Ano was actually killed by the boss in that SS rank dungeon. (Also I fucking remember who Ano's boyfriend was. Its coda.)

Andante pushed Ano to the brink of death with Reverse guiding, which is why he was so reluctant to do deep guiding in the first place. So, basically, when Onaip (LEOM guild) first entered the SS rank dungeon in the past, 10 years ago, with Ano, they encountered the strongest esper from 80 years ago, who had been devoured by the monster

I didnt mean to press post.. anyways, the strongest esper from 80 years ago was devoured by the monster, and was waiting for them. But by the time they got to that boss monster, they were already pretty drained from fighting all the other monsters. Czerny and flat lost conciousness, the twins were outside the boss chamber tending to the others, and Synthy had exhausted their power protecting Ano. Coda was the only one who could keep fighting against the boss along with Andante. During the fight, the monster lunged at Ano, and Coda nor Synthy could stop it. Andante blocked it with his body, but got severely injured at the same time. You guys know about how the monster uses skin suits right? It didnt want Ano's body, it wanted Andante's body, which is why it started targeting Ano, due to Andante's reaction. The monster can steal a body by injecting its own blood into a wound, and it managed to do that to Andante, but of course, Andante wouldnt go down that easily, but what complicated things.. was that he had people to protect. However, the monster was finding it difficult to get Andante's body, so it seized Ano's body when it got the chance. Of course, nobody could truly fight against the monster, now that it had Ano's body. They didn't know if Ano was even alive or dead. It was a one sided battle at first, but Ano, having retained some conciousness, told them the monsters weakness. It cannot control a body it cannot use anymore. So.. Andante took away Ano's guiding ability by using reverse guiding (at the time, he never once thought it would kill someone). However, Ano's chest was pierced and died instantly (so in a way, he wasnt the one who killed Ano, but had some part of it. However, he had no choice at the time either due to the situation). Andante couldn't move when he saw that, despite there being a golden opportunity to kill the monster.. so they fled.

I FEEL BAD FOR ASKING FOR MORE BUT HOW DID DANTE AND JIN GET BACK TOGETHERRR

Okay okay, so. After some time with Jin and his thoughts, Jin see's through Shins lies, and is fully aware (has been for a bit actually) that hes being used by Shin for Shin's goal of reaching first place in the guild rankings.

I forgot to mention, but Coda said In the car when he was taking Jin back to the Bureau that it doesnt matter that Jin is regretting leaving Andante's side. They cant get back together regardless, since Jins life is at stake due to the reverse guiding.

ANYWAYS, Jin's guiding ability improved to SS rank after he was brought back to the Bureau, and is in tip top shape. Mostly cause Andante helped him, no doubt. However, they kept his rank increase a secret for now. Onto the gates, apparently after the first mutated gate opened, the one that separated the two the second time, another 9 opened after that (no, not simultaneously, just one at a time I think). Andante was the one who went into those gates each time. He was the only one who could, after all. To get rid of the gates permanently, they needed to destroy the stones inside of the gate. A total of 10 needs to be destroyed.. so 10 gates.

Another guild meeting was held, and one of the USA guilds (close with andante, and high in ranking) said that the last gate was gonna open. They suggested that.. Jin guides Andante for two weeks prior (ten days total). The entire meeting fell silent after that lmao since I guess they kinda already knew about the two's relationship. Andante flat out rejected, and was gonna have a little private chat with the USA guild person, but Jin, without hesitation, agreed. Andante didnt protest either, since he kinda wanted to see Jin more. Shin noticed the fact that Jin said that without hesitation, either.

During first few days, it was very awkward. Andante was holding himself back from reverse guiding, and almost always ended the guiding session way earlier than needed (Literally before Jin could use even 5% of his guiding ability. Keep in mind hes also SS rank now, but is keeping it secret.)

Around thd 4-5th day (I think), it gets revealed that hes SS rank. However, that doesnt change anything for Andante, despite Jin now being capable of guiding andante equally, without rebound effects, also cause he doesnt believe Jin is SS Rank now, and thinks Shin manipulated it so his guild can rise in rankings, and still doesnt wanna risk it (Jin proves it later with the actual official test papers). Andante was planning to along with the entire guild, move to Argentina (A place said to be filled with gates, a pretty dangerous place). Jin wants to talk with Andante, but he cant bring himself to start a conversation with Andante constantly avoiding him, despite him insisting that he can continue guiding.

I think on the 6-8th day, Jin does kiss guiding, which catches Andante off guard, but isnt opposed to it, either (obviously holding himself back still). Jin says that he has something important to tell him on the 10th day (unnecessarily prolonging this shit as well lmao)

All I gotta say is, the 10th day is the day they finally have a proper fucking conversation. They both actually arrive at the place way earlier.. mostly cause they both can't wait to see eachother. Especially with it being the last day (literally met up at 10-11am, despite the meeting time being 7pm). Anyways, they get mostly all the misunderstandings cleared up. Jin understands that (has been ever since the earlier misunderstandings were cleared up) andante genuinly loves him, and its not obsession. Andante naturally changed his mind when Jin said he loved Andante. Literally of course, he cancels all moving plans after that lmao. However, things get cut short when someone comes into the guiding room to inform them that the gate appeared early on, and that they should wrap up the meeting (despite it being fairly early still). Jin and Andante go to the gate, and Jin tells andante that he will wait for him this time outside of the gate (reenactment of when Jin lived in the old man's house, before he ran away the second time, when jin left before fulfilling his promise with adanate about having a conversation). Andante speed runs the fucking gate solo, in literally 3 minutes.. but Jin wasnt there when he came out, making him panic a bit. Jin went to wash his face, cause of course he didnt think Andante would come out three fucking minutes later.. however, he comes back and finds Andante looking around constantly. Jin reassured him and yea.

Oh also.. Jin also tells Andante one of the reasons he left, which was when Andante told Jin he was using him. Y'know, the first time he deep guided Andante, the one night he cant remember.
