No he did not. ML and MC are together. I don’t want to spoil too much. So MC became powerful. They were together in the end but it was not out of love. MC sees ML like his “pretty dog”.

I’ve found the novel and I just skipped the painful scenes. I pity the MC. He was used by both the emperor and the duke. His mind broke and he attempted suicides a lot of times. The end was not even happy. He took his life back but he was no longer the same. Why do they keep on adapting these types of novels into manhwas. It’s just a waste of good art tbh.
