I'm sorry I don't know what manga that is but if you haven't watched Harutobi no mori e then you should check it out. It's very similar to the manga you described.

I watched harutobi no Mori e and it made me cry. It's very beautiful. Slow paced and you could tell that they really loved each other but what made me mad is that they didn't kiss!!!! They hugged and all but while they were I was legit shouting kissssss
