ML wasn't a bad guy, he didn't do anything wrong, and he was getting attention for both his looks and skills, he was the best cook in the show, mc's skills just weren't up to par with his. Mc is wrong not because he wants to win, but because he kept going back and forth between ml and producer, his pride prevented him from being honest with ml, and he was toxic, he was going along with everything until it had to ve labeled even after they got together, when he called the producer and told him not to wait for him and that he should've come sooner, and looked emotional, that was trashy behaviour, it didn't show he loved ml,just that he was the first choice. The same for when he wondered if he'd regret this decision. Mc's character was saved by the side stories, and if ml had more pride and was less blinded by love he'd have left him, at least mc is self-aware of his own shortcomings amd the things he did wrong.
No, why was MC the bad guy for wanting to win through his own skill and not because he had a sad story?? And then he was in the wrong for being jealous because ML, while also being skilled, was mostly getting attention for his looks not his skill. And ML is rich and didn’t want to even be on the show???
