In a BL story, both characters are main characters. Yes. Shocking, I know. The seme (often taller, cooler, or more aggressive) is not just there to deliver dramatic smirks and carry bags like some handsome emotional mule. And the uke (usually softer, cuter, or more "emotional") is not the only person with a character arc, internal conflict, or, you know... agency.
You don’t get a good love story by watching one guy cry prettily while the other stands in a corner like a sexy lamp.

That was terribly condescending without addressing the issue whatsoever. A "seme" can also not be a rapist. There are all manner of stories on this site with great stories where the seme is not a "sexy lamp" and also NOT A RAPIST. If you think Rapist has such a great character in the story, tell me more about him. Because so far in this story, he's really only a sexy lamp who also happens to be a rapist.
