absolutely agree. i hope it’s something to do with maybe some kind of sensitivity since he always wears full armor? but even then it feels off putting since it comes off extremely racist (colorist? idk the right term in this situation where he WAS a white man and is now dark)

I thought he meant his skin thats full of scar marks. He would fix those scar marks on his skin

Tbh I don't know why u guys r being so sensitive, cuz this doesn't look like colorist at all. His skin just look unnatural and has many scars here, so the ml just wants to fix it.

Might have also been a mistake in the translation that they didn't think would come across as insensitive. I don't think they necessarily ment that his dark skin "needs to be fixed" - I mean no black persons skin is that greyish dark brown, could have made him a bit more grey but yk. Giving the author the benefit of the doubt lol

yeah i see where you’re coming from! it just gives me a sour taste to be someone’s lover and want to ‘fix’ their skin when all it is is scars and a darker tone, unless we are shown that he has medical issues or it impacts him more than just aesthetics i just find it off putting. that being said we haven’t seen his face and the mothers reaction could mean they just want to make him look more humanoid but who knows- time will tell

Oh yeah 100%. I can say all that, but it did make me frown a bit when I read it. I would have been like "damn, thanks for the support, I guess?" Kind of wish the curse affected him a bit more than just immortality, change of skin tone etc. (Like give him some cool buffs to balance the 'negative' affects) but, like you said, time will tell.
