It's not just loneliness or just sex for her now. She's not doing everything just cuz she feels grateful or in debt to him. He's his own person to her now and she wants to know more and THAT is what deepens a relationship. That interest in another person as THEY are and not just what they mean to you, is the foundation of a relationship turning from just an affair to something much deeper.
That's all Taeha has been wanting from Haesoo if you look back. This is what is going to push them in a direction where they're gonna start working as a team. More than anything chapters like this are important because otherwise when any drastic change happens, like Haesoo choosing Taeha over MC or something else... It won't feel like it came out of nowhere.
