No literally, why is bro so mad? I thought the story was actually really well written. I liked the pace and the characters, but the student x teacher trope just doesn’t sit right with me. Even if the student graduated or “of age” the power dynamic doesn’t magically disappear.
To be fair to their point tho, I probably shouldn’t have read a story knowing damn well I don’t even like the trope. But like, when you’ve been reading yaoi for 5 almost 6 years, it gets hard to find something that’s actually well written or interesting anymore. So yeah, sometimes I’ll try something outside my usual lane just to see if it hits different… and then end up reminded exactly why I avoid that trope in the first place.
Also their comment about me being unemployed is funny ngl, considering I’m a grown ass woman with two jobs who likes to read yaoi on her day off. Like girl, don’t tempt me with a good time
