Kinda disappointed when he became younger, he looks more handsome before. But still intere...

I thought I was some. He looked so much better older

Exactly, I don't read the novel, but I don't think the God had any reason to make him younger.

My guess would be that humans still have the same lifespans and the God wanted that the funnel he would pour magic through would have as much time as possible alive, but if that's the case why wouldn't he just make him an elf or some other long lived race it's the real question

Maybe it's just God's whim. Hopefully he will become older as time passes, I need more older man getting isekaid（￣へ￣）

I think they're often transmigrated younger to give them more allowance for not knowing how things work in the world. If they're an adult, it's much stranger to not know common knowledge. In the isekai I read where they stay an adult, the plot style is generally quite different, less about adventure and more about stability.

Any recs?

Savior's Book Cafe in Another World - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_savior_s_book_caf_in_another_world/ (highly recommend; the heroine who's sent to save another world is a level-headed woman in her 30s; this one is complete at 5 volumes)

The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/seijo_no_maryoku_wa_bannou_desu/ (highly recommend; two heroines get isekai'd, one teenager and one an adult woman, and the adult is the main character - this is a really nice take)

Housekeeping Mage from Another World: Make Your Adventures Feel Like Home! - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/life_in_another_world_as_a_housekeeping_mage/ (highly recommend; the most realistic take on isekai - Shiori falls into a fantasy world on her way home from work, not knowing what's going on, unable to speak the language, and has to carve out a new place for herself. The story begins after she's gone through a lot of hardship already and come out the other side, with the ML meeting and getting to know her, and her trying to learn to trust again)

I Reincarnated as the Villainous Commander of a Knights' Order - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/ore_akuyaku_kishidanchou_ni_tensei_suru/ (comedy - an adult man who died protecting his little brother transmigrates into a villainous knight commander and starts trying to fix his reputation while whipping his boys into shape and playing the big brother; ongoing, recommend the web novel but the site I was using disappeared, sadly)

The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter - **THIS ONE IS BL AND MATURE** https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_affairs_of_the_other_world_depend_on_the_corporate_slave/ (a man is isekai'd along with the younger saintess heroine and basically starts fixing the country through aggressive accounting lol, I love this - the novel is also licensed and being translated)

Summoned to Another World... Purification is basic! - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/isekai_ni_otosareta_jouka_wa_kihon (in this one he doesn't land in society so the lack of knowledge is more about his entire situation and less about trying to fit into the society)

I Raised a Black Dragon - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/i_raised_a_black_dragon/ (a young woman transmigrates into an adult villainess and accidentally gets bonded with a newly hatched dragon; she's mostly just very tired and trying to figure out wtf is going on and how to survive)

Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/tondemo_skill_de_isekai_hourou_meshi/ (foodie isekai - I got a little bored of this one since it's almost only about the food, much as I love foodie comics - but I still go back to it from time to time when I want to read about food lol)

A Veterinarian in Another World - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/jui_san_no_oshigoto_in_isekai/ (I forget if I got bored of this or just stopped reading cos there hasn't been an update in a while or if it finished)

My Mom Entered a Contract Marriage - https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/my_mom_entered_a_contract_marriage_bored_corona_kids_version/ (this one is going back in time instead of isekai, but it's interesting because the main character is NOT the one who went back, it's her daughter - so we know her mom went back to fix things, but the daughter is a little girl who has no idea and doesn't know why her mom is being weird. Despite the funny premise, this is worth reading just for the stunning artwork, and because it's funny to see what the situation looks like from an oblivious character's perspective)
