no, actually, it’s insane how much more i understood reading it now that i’m grown up!
We’re all in the same boat lmao im rereading again after my fromtal lobe developed and its amazing how much my perspective haa changed and how i can finally see what a masterpiece this story is
and even then, it left something deep in me. I didn’t fully understand everything, like the weight of Ed and McQueen’s fallout or the pressure they carried, but I felt it. Now, rereading it at 23, those same emotions came rushing back. It still hurts, still resonates, still feels achingly beautiful. I don’t have the right words for what this story means to me, only that I love it deeply. To my future self, may you find your way back to this story again and remember how it once made you feel everything, all at once. Absolutely a masterpiece
