This is probably a case of projecting and insecurity of him towards mc. He thinks mc as someone who's really strong than him but doesn't use his power to save people so he thinks mc pathetic+ he's insecure and projecting if only he has mc's 'power' saving more people will be more easy. Hence why the deep hatred he has now
okay but.... I kinda don't get what's his deal with Mc. He wont be able to save anyone if his body is too exhausted afterall.
