It’s very clear that the author doesn’t know one bit about this kind of trauma and instrumentalises it to put the plot into porn and to write a mean / toxic ml. The story and the characters feel empty and meaningless. Everything that happens seems to be static and a device rather than a lively. This could legit be a fanfic on WattPad or Episodes. It’s so caricature-ish and borderline comical.
