He probably thinks that old man abandoned him and he has nowhere to return to. Since the kidnapper brought him back now he feels relieved that he probably has somewhere to be?

Imma need atleast another chapter where they explain some shit. Maybe .5 cause what, why you relieved?? It’s not giving relief or Stockholm syndrome yet. Like maybe if they would’ve said the old man abandoned him to take the fall, knowing what would happen and threw in a few more flash backs and he had a mental break but nope that was way to abrupt.
