Agreed, incest kinda ruins a story, like if they altered it so that his mother was always comparing him to his best friend or something, it might be been better.
its all up to preference. some people like incest, so it doesn't mean that the story is ruined, it just means that you don't like incest...
the thing is that I don't dislike incest, necessarily, it's just not done realistically in this yaoi. for this situation, literally anything other than incest would fit the characters Personalities (in the first few pages of the first chapter, I mean)

I thought I'd be able to stand the incest since for one I read yaoi but I just couldn't. I cringed reading the whole way through.
