basically he’s an advisor for an elected representative and he’s been sent to convince the boxer guy to sell his plot of land so they can begin redevelopment (which is motivated largely by money + how much it will profit both developers who are colluding with politicians, basically these politicians just like in real life are just lobbyists working for billionaires and those in power to line their own pockets as well as theirs) the other advisor kungwoo??? idk what his name was is his adversary or rival and seemingly is trying to grow closer to rep Lee while this guy is away dealing with the neglected portion of the city that only now the party seems to care about because it needs the cooperation of the citizens in rezoning and its own redevelopment plan, the wealth disparity between this neglected zone and the rest of the city is highlighted when they show how different the two look and how the advisors and politicians walk away from the multitude of protestors. the people who belong to this zone had already been driven out of the city before when they needed to make it into a more commercial area and now are residing in this area which they are ironically again being driven out of because money money money + false promises of getting their land’s worth as well as being able to occupy the new apartment complexes. this is why it’s imperative that the boxer guy cooperates because of his adamant refusal to sell or bargain the entire project is at a halt and the party is coming under increasing scrutiny over this delay, which is not good as public attention can open a whole other can of worms if they aren’t careful. hopefully this helps explain it. political aspect is what makes it so intriguing btw!! another thing is the advisor is not necessarily a good guy as he’s willing to kill and bribe to keep his position, even neglecting his own relationships in the process.

Can someone tell me about the politics that is happening?
