The friend getting killed, ugh I know, so it’s basically inspired by the French revolution , where all kinds of nobility get dragged off to the guillotine even ones who were initially on the side of the revolution. Is what I’m taking away from the scene- so it’s a reign of terror, the switch to a republic is a very difficult process.
So like in the side Jean killed himself or died from alcohol or just dreaming? And also that gilotine in 1st side? Jean killing his friends. Is that what he would do if he knew max was gonna die?
