Facts, I feel the same. The moms' disappearance is sus tho
I'm imagining that after they made kids, their wives already knew that they were inlove and respectfully left their partner (The sister leaving for the big city, and the fox girl leaving to go back to her original villiage to be with the one she also truly loves.) so that on the surface they would apear as acquaintances and closed doors are actually wholesome cute moments of bejng in love, (this is for my sanity.)
Come on ! I wanted to see the dads get together in the ending where their children are all grown up and married :(((
