i’m thinking that when morinaga’s mom hangs out with their family that there isn’t going to be some display or talk of “my son is gay and idc and i’m proud and you should be too,” it’s gonna be smth more subtle like the father talking fondly of his sons which are gonna make morinaga’s mom envious and reflect on her relationships. and souichi will just kinda talk normally, ofc he’s not gonna declare that he loves morinaga but morinaga’s mom will see how successful, kind, and fond he is of her son. basically see how loving and close their family is in contrast to her own
