Yeah I can agree honestly. As I much as I love this story the romance does come out of left field and there’s not much build up to it. The characters do have a lot of chemistry and they work well together but the author doesn’t dedicate enough time for the audience to really see them in a romantic light. It might be different in the novel but if it wasn’t for the specific romance sub-plot I could for sure just see it as a couple of really close bros. I still like it though action/fantasy bl are way too rare TT
I noticed it too cause there was no "love at first sight" kind of thing in the story but I think it could be fixed very easily because they already have a very strong connection and are curious about each other more than anyone else. Just that dream took me by surprise the same way it felt odd for the characters. But maybe they'll figure out that this is how they can deal with healing resistance or whatever. Maybe they can share their energy or smth by touching each other. There's that weird Gaia Dream power that didn't work for the other guy, maybe it works only for couples who both have Gaia powers and they'll unlock something... I'm still hoping it's going nicely back into the plot cause if it doesn't, it's definitely forced.

Alot will disagree with me but why does it feel like the BL feels forced maybe it's just me but in my opinion I think the story would've been good either way without the romance. This is genuinely the first time I felt like gay romance was forced to a story so I kinda feel guilty for admitting it, I usually only find it forced towards straight relationships in stories but this one in particular also gave me that feeling
