This manhwa had a lot of potential but the writing became really stupid, how can someone hell bent on surviving, going through these ridiculous trauma, as smart as she is be so weak, I mean I get being subdued by two people but just one old lady held you by the hair and opened your mouth to pour in poison? Just like that? What is she? A feather?

Also realized that this writer does not know what being a survivor is, if she’s looking for any means to survive, she should be looking for a way to take out the very thing that is a threat to her life and her husband’s, not cowering to him even after leaving. Stupid writing, I wish I never read this

It's almost there. You'll see it very soon. Miesa is still trapped in her trauma, especially now that she's back in the palace. I get your frustration, but it's a very common trauma response to freeze/revert when put back in the torture environment. The only survival instinct she knows is to appear insane. Her resisting the head maid, when she's never been violent before, would give away the secret that she's not insane. That could give Bermel leverage to attack House Cladinae under the guise of treason- that this was all a ploy on their part to make him look bad. And don't forget, they are under royal decree to stay in the palace for the 3 days of the festival. That's basically their torture/death sentence because it's guaranteed Bermel with make something happen. He did, but it epically backfired. It's sad she got drugged and retraumatized, but this played out well for them. Now that someone tried to harm Miesa in a way that makes Bermel look bad, he let them leave. They got their freedom back and the safety that Bermel will likely back off for a bit.

Miesa doesn't understand that she's part of House Cladinae. She still thinks she's Aerik's wife and lives in a home where she's not abused & properly fed. She thinks if she does anything to bring harm to Aerik or the family, he'll divorce her. Aerik doesn't realize that she doesn't understand the things he's taking for granted. Something like love making... To him, they've made love so she should know how devoted he is to her. To her, they just consummated their marriage like the nun told her to- it just so happened that it didn't hurt like the nun said but was enjoyable, so she doesn't mind doing it again. I think once Miesa truly understands her standing in House Cladinae, she feel safe enough to take her insane mask off and become a formidable woman. I won't give you any spoilers... I'll just say you'll start to see the changes you're looking for by chapter 62.

I understand what you’re saying but I don’t agree with you, first of she understands that she is part of house cladine bcus she has said several times that it’s different and she wouldn’t want to leave, she’s not scared of divorce, she’s scared her brother might harm her husband bcus her brother is stronger than her husband, so that’s her justification for doing what she did and later praying her husband doesn’t hate her which again makes her character extremely stupid for a (survivor) tag, I’m not even going to read to chapter 62,

She could grab her maids hair under the guise of “insanity” but not someone holding poison over her mouth? Where is the common sense in that please
