The author is a poc herself, so don’t worry
This is not reassuring in the slightest. Being a person of color doesn't mean they can handle or write dark-skinned characters well. Asians are all poc and they still keep creating characters with colorist and racist designs/stereotypes.
I get that, especially after the whole thing with Jax and Song of the Wasteland situation but I follow the author on Instagram and She confirmed that no, she’s not changing the FL skin as she’s a South Asian woman herself who wanted to see more women like her in webtoons
Really? So the author isn't South Korean or is she biracial?
Although Heo Jina is just a tanned South Korean and isn't a dark-skinned girl rep anyway. Maybe after seeing the positive reception, the author can be more confident drawing and writing a dark-skinned character in the future, who knows!
Can someone spoils if she stays tan forever? I refuse to be duped again I to thinking we'll have a tan female lead only for her to be bleached by the end.
