Duuuuude i was thinking the same thing!!!! Like what if he somehow orchestrated the whole thing to separate him from his wife so that he could have a chance with him. Or like what if when his wife died he was thinking he now had a chance with him, which is why he was so displeased with the guide and him *still being together!!! omg the possibilities are ENDLESS but these are my favorite theories lol. o(^o^)o
