I don’t know how to say this without sounding rude, but the story felt like it had no depth or purpose. It’s the kind of thing you’d read only if you were extremely bored with nothing else to do. Nothing seemed meaningful—neither love, nor abuse, nor friendship, nor hate. None of the emotions were explored in depth. The historical setting also felt meaningless, because nothing made sense. Overall, it came across as a very raw story. English is not my first language, so I’m sorry if my words sound confusing or harsh—I just don’t know a better way to put it.
