I really don't know how it's possible to be a fujoshi and still homophobic. :o Unless not being aware of speaking too much in line with society like it could happen with accidental racism but it's kind of hard to picture for me. Of course, I'm more shy when seeing it in real life, but I'm the same with hetero couple even while watching tv (if I'm not alone) and scenes when things get heated. :p
I think I giggle alone harder when is see two gay people (boy or girl, but more boys because it's even less easy for them because of manly Society constructs opposed to girl/girl fantasmes) but not because of perverted thoughts but because I'm happy to see two people together that are brave and have to face more hardships than usual to be together in public. :) particularly fond of old gay people still together and speaking about their love for each other. <3
Well, in my country (which is said to be one of the most religious countries in Asia) the homophobic fujoshi phenomenon is real and they are not even shy to admit it (even in rl)."I like BL because the guys are handsome but sorry if in rl it is deviant and not normal." that's what they say which is even more ridiculous, blaspheming a country like Thailand which produces many BL drama series and is open to homosexuals even though they also enjoy queer works!
And yes! I truly appreciate the courage of gay couples, especially older couples, in facing social hardships too! Especially in my country, which is very conservative and heteronormative. That's also one of my dreams as a gay man in later years, even though it's highly unlikely. :)

Need more girls like that in rl! The world would be a beautiful place if everyone accepted gay relationships, even though it's not the case. Many of them are hypocrites (in this case, BL fans and queerbaiters but homophobic) and experience cognitive dissonance because they only like seeing gay relationships if they are two handsome men.
