i feel like everything is so iffy. i personally appreciate second chance romances but it doesn’t really feel like it. it just feels like carsen is projecting his image of maythan onto jinsoo. which is why i can’t really accept him being endgame. even in the most recent chapter, his flashback is of maythan before jinsoo came into his body. so really, can we say he loves jinsoo? or does he miss maythan?
ugh and don’t get me started on the reincarnation thing. so you’re telling me, all the male leads, shae, rosie and the saintess (sorry forgot her name) can come to this world but not maythan’s mother and sisters? if anything, i cared about his family more than all those other characters. like yeah all these ppl “loved” maythan but his family literally watched him grow up??
Sometimes it really bothers me that the one Carsen first loved was the original Mathen who died for him
Like it's okay to have a different first love but it's really weird that mc then inhabits his body and acts just like him enough that Carsen also loves him
Like I can never tell if Carsen is still hung up on the og Mathen or if our mc is actually also the og Mathen but doesn't remember it. JUst makes it weird cuz like his family is mourning him but they dont get to come to this world and reunite with him and he doesn't even seem to miss them
